Altinkum, Turkey - Apartment Description

Altinkum, Turkey.

Altinkum in Turkish means Golden Sands, and the resort has three lovely golden sandy beaches which shelve gently into a warm sea. Ideal for children and adults alike.

The main beach promenade at Altinkum is pretty, and has an abundance of bars, restaurants and shops. There is a boat service to Bodrum from the beach front and other boat trips on offer. If you take a walk along to the far end of the main beach there is a small fairground to keep children of all ages amused, and a couple of nightclubs with dancing for the older kids!

The town centre, is bustling with plenty of shops, bazaars and travel agents who can arrange reasonably priced trips to the many extraordinary sites of interest in the area, such as Ephesus, Pammukale and Dalyan, or simply a visit to the many local villages, some of which produce specialities such as fine wines, and leather goods. There is also a weekly Saturday market if you like a bit of haggling.

Eating out can be as extravagant or as low-key as you like. From simple turkish fayre such as kebabs or kofte, served with rice and salad, to a wonderful freshly caught sea bream, sole or sea bass, which you can choose yourself ! Turkish food never leaves you feeling disappointed.
